Healthy people make healthy workplaces
UK sickness absence is at a record high, with the CIPD’s 2025 Health and Wellbeing at Work report finding an average of 9.4 days per employee per year, up from 5.8 in 2022. The same report found that 35% of organisations say presenteeism (working while unwell) has risen with home working, and whether people are off sick or present but struggling, both cost organisations in productivity, morale and retention.
The future of workplace wellbeing
Employers are moving beyond one-off perks towards wellbeing that is built into the culture of work. These are the trends I see growing:
A strategic approach: more organisations now treat wellbeing as a strategy rather than a perk
Mental health first: stress and mental health support are now expected, not optional
Life-stage health: perimenopause, menopause and hormonal health are finally on the agenda
Prevention over cure: practical education on nutrition, sleep and stress
Support for hybrid teams: wellbeing that reaches people wherever they work

Practical nutrition and wellbeing, built on real workplace experience
I spent over 20 years working in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, so I know the environment from the inside. I understand the challenges: workloads that never seem to ease, managers who want to help but aren’t sure how, and employees who feel they can’t take a break. Wellbeing only works when people feel permitted and equipped to look after themselves.
My role is to help your employees understand their health, build realistic nutrition and lifestyle habits and feel supported, and to give your organisation a practical way to show that you care.
